I've been having a lot of work dreams lately. Nothing worse than work dreams. Everything is upside down/backwards in it. then again I dreamt about giant robots and japanese monsters

haven't had a "suddenly found a lot of money dream" that's probably the worst to wake up to.

The ones I wake up from. Dreams are infinitely more interesting than life.

I made the mistake of walking away from what was the best job I ever had. (Not the most money, but overall, the best)
I've had a few dreams that I went back to work there a couple of times. :(

Also, I still miss working maritime construction, and I've had a few dreams where I went back to that.

The worst dreams I've ever had were nightmares about some of the shit in Vietnam, but those are very infrequent nowadays. (Thankfully)

Not sure if these are the worse, but they can be a bit stressful: School dreams. I get those every now and then and it seems to have several reoccuring themes, sometimes all in the same dream.

- forgetting where a certain class is
- forgetting my locker combination
- forgetting where my locker is, sometimes forgetting my combination too! So I need to brute force each locker.

Funny thing is I've been out of school for over 10 years.

A newish theme, being in class, and having a sudden realization that I havn't been to math class in months, and realizing that I have not been looking at my schedule but rather just remembering it from memory... except for math. I eventually wake up, then I go into panic, thinking "wait, when IS the last time I went to that class?" Takes me a bit then it's like "ohhhh right, I'm not even in school anymore, thank God!".

I'd say the ones that are even worse though are dreams about waking up, usually dream that I wake up, and take my shower, and do all that stuff. Only to wake up and realize that I dreamed all that, and then having to do it all over again. It's like "I just did all that! Now I have to redo it".

Try taking Melatonin before you go to bed. Then you'll have dreams so vivid you can actually remember them later that day. I've had some crazy dreams on that stuff. Both good and bad.

Yes it does. Without it i wake up a few times at night. When i take a Melatonin before bed i sleep all night. And it's natural unlike Ambien and other prescription drugs.

It can help you fall asleep. I sometimes use it when I go from night shift to day shift, since it's so hard trying to fall asleep early. I'll be laying in bed for hours just trying so hard to sleep. It does not always work though. And yeah, now that I think about it, my most vivid dreams probably do happen when I take it.

the dreams where i get killed are the worst dreams.

and unfortunately, the only dreams i've ever been able to remember are the ones where i get killed. all the other ones i forget shortly before or after waking up. it has to be a traumatic dream for me to remember.

luckily i haven't really had any dreams ever since surgery. maybe 3-4 dreams total in the past 15 years, even taking 5g of melatonin every night.

ehh it's kinda nice actually. since i literally have never had a good dream i could remember upon waking up. as far back as age 3 i remember having dreams like people i know eating me, or getting killed with meat tenderizers and chainsaws and other stuff. i'd wake my parents up all the time because of crap like that.

as i got older dreams just mostly turned into falling out of a plane, stuff falling onto me out of the sky, or getting shot.

so getting rid of dreams was a pretty nice unexpected side effect of brain surgery.

I love my dreams, I still get the high school thing like red squirrel almost 15 years out of high school. I get crazy dreams almost nightly. I had one a few weeks ago I arrive at a house for a service call as usual to walk into the basement. With a guy on a canoe at the bottom of the stairs saying come on in I'll ride ya over. I'm thinking this is first lets go, then I realize its shit water as I'm riding in the canoe and I'm like great its not clean water leak I have to fix. Then he takes me to the furnace that sumerged in shit water and tells me to fix the furnace so I run out the back door by the furnace. Just to get out of the house and say hey fuck that guy bring me in to fix a shit water submerged furnace I outta kick his ass. I woke up running back in..

Last week two nights in a row I had dreams I was telling the people I was with come on its time to go come on we really have to go, they kept saying were coming chill out, I'm like no motherfucker we have to go now. The first was a hit man coming to get us, the second dream was the cops. They got us, I think its a sign next time I think its time to go, fuck my friends.

When you dream your water bed burst, and you wake up in a start because you're all wet, but then you remember you don't own a water bed?

Yup I've had that dream before, never even had a water bed but my parents did.

I feel like I dream all night long, when I get startled out of bed 5 minutes from falling asleep its usually from a dream, when I wake up in the middle of the night to piss, when I wake up in the morning, always from a dream. I generally remember what I was dreaming about when I wake up too, sometimes just for a second for it to come back to me later that day, sometimes I recall the previous 2 dreams on top of it.

I love my dreams sometimes they are real as life but a whole different life, sometimes I know I'm dreaming but still can't control it.
