what are the top mp3 players out there

I bought a sony md player but the software is limiting and it doesnt really play mp3s but only converts them.

I thinking about buying an rca lyra for 99 it has 128 and sd support. The use for the player is for working out primarily.

Any suggestions I dont want to spend more than 200

iPod and Zen of course.

Then there are the iRiver, Nike (Philips) and Samsung which are pretty similar as well as the Creative Muvo. I believe the iRiver is better since you can get FM radio...

Iriver is a nice mp3 player, funky looking design but nice.

Iriver is a nice mp3 player, funky looking design but nice.

It says you can record FM radio too. Sounds interesting...

How about this player it also doubles as a storage device which I think is pretty awesome.

Price seems really good for 1.5gig and also it seems small.

I'm going to get a Nomad Zen this summer. Better sound quality(so I hear;)) and upgradable HD.

$250? no! i'm almost positive you can get a 5gig ipod for under 200.

What do you want to do with your MP3 player? You can use Nero to create an image of WAV files and then use SimpleBurner to rip the image onto MD.

I'm looking for one too that I can wear on my arm while running/at the gym, I just dont see that happening with an ipod even though thats like everyones first choise
