Gold things on top of the CPU, ive boxed them in red. They showed up on nehalem for the first time. What are they and what are they for? 😕

I'm sure they're just debug ports. There are companies that make interposer boards that you can insert to pull out those signals without affecting the normal function of the cpu. More info:http://www.asset-intertech.com/download/LGA1366_Top-side_Probe_V2_Manual.pdf
