First computer was Apple II at a whopping 1 mhz & 64K with 16 colours & 5.25? drive.

First PC that I built was in 1993 & it was an AMD 486 DX2/66mhz with ADI mobo, 8 megs ram, 2 megs ATI Viper VLB graphics card, Creative SB16, 512 megs Western Digital hdd, 9600 baud modem, and a 17? NEC monitor.

I had an Amiga...then a 486/DX2...then a Presario 5260...then a Dell PIII-450...then a home built AMD 1700...now a home built AMD 1800.

Sinclair Spectrum AKA the 'TIMEX TS-2068' in NA, except they were slightly different.

My 1st was a Apple IIe (1mhz CPU) back in 1985. Then in 1986 I upgraded to the Apple IIGS (2.5Mhz or something close to that).

I still have both the IIe and IIGS to this day. They haven't ran in 15 or so years though. I also used to use the IBM 5150 alot back in 1982, but it wasn't mine. That was my first experience with a PC.

I had two close ones.. My real original was a 486DX4 with 8mb of ram, trident 8900c, and uh.. i dont know the rest... but my dad brought me home an "upgrade" that was an IBM PS/2... 486DX2, SCSI, XGA video, with a 100mb and 500mb scsi drive.

Dang, all of you guys's first computers were rock!

My first was a 4.77mhz 640k ram w/ 20mb HD and hercules graphics w/ 13" monitor B&W of course

It played the hell out of Doom and 7th Guest. :D

Laser 128EX (Laser represent!). It was an Apple compatible machine. We later bought an 800k external 3.5" disk drive.

First PC -
386DX-40mhz AMD. 105mb HD. 4mb RAM. 1mb video. DOS 5, Win3.1.
Got it cheap in like Sept '92.

I kept that computer until 1996 when I bought a Gateway when the 166 first came out. OMG! I still have that puter. Paid almost $2,400. for it!! LOL It still fires up and run Linux when I feel li8ke learning something!!

EDIT: we had a commodore 64!!! Does that count?

oh crap we had a commodore 64 as a kid with a cassette drive and 2 HUGE 5 1/4 diskette drives probably 20"-24" deep. crappy RGB monitor daiseywheel printer that was FREAKIN LOUD!
