I've been itching my eyes a bunch lately, and there seems to be more gunk in the corner of it, closest to my nose (you know, where you get eye crusties in the morning)......

Am I going to wake up tomorrow with my eye all puffed out and sealed shut?

You either yourself were embalmed with worceteshire sauce, making you the original zombie, or bitten by the original zombie. Call the Worceteshire sauce hotline and they'll tell you the only cure is to kill the original zombie.

(wasn't that the plot of that old South Park episode?) ;)

it's highly likey that's it's only allergies, considering I have allergy attacks all the time. But this seems different... like my eye has thicker gunk in it or seomthing... a little tought to describe.

And it's red from rubbing it

thick gunk, as in booger-type consistency? Thats who mine was? Normally when i wake up there is some hard crust, but this was gooey and didn't look too healthy. It i touched it i pull my finger a few inches with it still attached to my eye and my finger.

Yeah, it could be pink eye. Hard to tell from here!

Try some polysporin eye drops. They are safe even if it is not and if it is, they will clear it up pretty quickly! Snicker. You can buy them over the counter as well....

STOP RUBBING! WASH your hands OFTEN!

Good luck.

it could be that your hand had some dirt on it the last time you rubbed your eyes, and that's why the burning and crust.

I think one of the biggest signs of pink eye.... is your eye turning pink ;)

CONJUNCTIVITIS
  • An infection of the inside of your eyelid. It is usually caused by allergies, bacteria, viruses, or chemicals

  1. Red, irritated eye.

  1. Some burning and/or scratchy feeling.

  1. There may be a purulent (pus) or a mucous type discharge.

To prevent the spread of the infection:
Wash hands throughly
Wash any clothing touched by infected eyes.
Do not share make-up. If the infection is caused by bacteria or a virus you must throw away your used make-up and buy new make-up.
Do not touch the infected eye because the infection will spread to the good eye. IMPORTANT!!!
Pink Eye Spreads Very Easily!

Wash your hands thoroughly with antibacterial soap and water, don't rub your eyes and get some eye drops!
