Any rumors on what comes after the 8800 series? Any clue when that might come out?

there have been rumours of a 8900GTX, and 8950GX2 but nothing set in stone.
then with ATI HD 2900XT not beating out the 8800GTX it takes the pressure of nvidia, drop the price and there is no need to bring a more powerful card out. Only the games will determine that. I would see a price drop and a change to 80nm/65nm first in order to get heat down and power consumption. Then the clockspeeds can go up and the 8900GTX is born. But the cost and man power to make the change may be shifted to there new card the G90 as the 2900XT did beat the existing top of the range card 8800GTX / ULTRA

yeah a whole product line with 1 card available on "launch" day

And their competitor already having a full product line in the respective desktop and laptop segments. 😉

Heh, yeah... Nvidia's next update is pricing only, and it's not going to be going down. 😛

I've read at a few places that they will be putting together the 8950GX4.5 (code name orgy) with four and a half 8800 cores strapped together. It will be pretty long though, starting from the pci express slot through the cd rom bay and to the wall of your neighbor's house.
