Looks like I have more than 4 devices, 3 Hard Drives and 2 burners, so I need some sort of card to allow more IDE channels, right?

Thanks!
So, does it matter which one I purchase?
They seem to range in Price from $20 to $70, but I don't know why one would be more than the other. Can anyone enlighten me?

It will work, right?

Sure as long as your running IDE drives

The other is SATA which I'm guessing you dont' have (totally different connection)

I have the koutech, it seems to work fine for me.

I have 2 IBM deathstars running in RAID 0, and there is a noticeable bump in my video encoding when I use the RAID, instead of the 8mb cache WD I have.

The Syba/Koutech et al. have the Silicon Image chipset which allows them to support just about any IDE device ever made plus do RAID 0,1,0+1 and JBOD when/if needed - a very flexible chipset. The Promise/HighPoint can only do one or the other, not both. I usually recommend the Syba from http://www.dealsonic.com. It was less than $25. shipped.
