You want a low speed drill, a variable speed
would be better.

Did you check out the link?
It will answer a lot of questions for you.

i think gettin a dremel is the best value. How many holes do you plan to cut with that hole/jig saw? if its just a few, you'd be better off buy a dremel that can sand, cut, etc. Just a tought :)

I was at Sears the other day and they had
a cordless variable speed drill with 2 batteries
on sale for around $70. You can also check
Walmart and Lowes they often have good prices
on Black&Decker cordless drills.

i have a dremel and a drill, actually i have lots of tools. Dont buy a cordless drill. Buy a nice 1/2" drill, it is a great investment!

Knockout punch is best if you can get your hands on one.

I used a 3/4" hole saw - $10. This is required for the arbor on a knockout.
A knockout is a hydraulic piece of equipment used mainly
by electricians to punch out holes in electrical cabinets.
(Greenlee is a very good fabricator of this)

I was able to borrow one from work with large punch/dies for 80mm and 120mm fans.

Makes a super clean cut and is so very quick.

If you have a hardware rental store near you...
