i have a "65 chevy pickup that was my daily driver from 1969 to 1991,
I take it out every so often for a spin. i took it out today and stopped by a buddies house, out front of his house was a 73 ford pickup. I happened to glance at the license plate on this ford, it was ABD-285. something seemed familiar about that number. Then i remembered the license on my truck is ABD-286. The truck belongs to his neighbor who was there at the time. I asked the guy when and where he got his plate. He said he got it when he bought the truck new in '73 in a town about 60 miles north of here. I got my plate in '73 after some fool stole my original plate, but i was living 100 miles south of here.
