You dead joe! Dibs on your computer.

Depends on how susceptible you are to psychosomatic illness. You can likely convince yourself to at least feel nausea, but only a select few can talk themselves into heart failure. Go for it!

It's more likely you'll get the runs if anything. Don't worry so much.

errr...if he gets the runs it's gonna be a major case of the runs...think bowel cleaner 🙂

dont forget a major chicken supplier had a major recall after the FDA said it knowingly let out a bunch of frozen chickens even when 19% of them had listeria and a smaller percentage salmonella

If your chicken had salmonella...100% chance you'll get sick.

If not, 0%.

<numbers made up off the top of my head>

not

The bacterium campylobacter, which can cause food poisoning, was found in 42 percent of 484 fresh broiler chickens tested for a survey in the January issue of Consumer Reports. The magazine said Tuesday that 12 percent of the chickens had salmonella, another bacterium. Both bugs can cause diarrhea, fever, abdominal pain and sometimes death.

Just because a certain chicken has salmonella/campylobacter in it doesn't mean that you'll necessarily get food poisoning from eating it. The average person is able to fight off most standard bacteria without too terribly much harm. 42% of chicken may have the bacteria, but perhaps only 20% would actually make you sick. Therefore, perhaps around 1 in 5?

You might get salmonella poisoning fron eating undercooked chicken. Not pleasant.

Nearly ALL raw chicken has some salmonella bacteria. It is nearly impossible to not have some and the longer it remains unfrozen or uncooked the more likely that it does. . Even eggs have it on the shells.

NEVER eat under cooked or raw poultry.

I know I'm gonna spell this wrong, but bochalism is another concern. 😛

I'd keep in mind that salmonella won't necessarily kill you if you've got a strong enough immune system. You'll just be sick for a few days and it may take you a few weeks to totally recover. You'll know shortly if you're gonna have a problem. It doesn't so much matter if the food is cooked, as much as it does that the inside food temp is above 185 degrees. (of course that number used to be 165 until a few years back)

if the outside was cooked, you will be ok

probably

what is the worst that will happen? you will spend hours on the crapper

no biggy

Yeah, and I think they did raw duck and raw chicken too. What's up with that? Anyone?

If you have a healthy immune system you have nothing to worry about. In fact, the more you stress your immune system, the stronger it gets.
