Thank you for reassuring my fears Looney.

It's not a zit because it's been there for about 3 years or so now, and has regrown at least twice after being "excised". Besides, it's location would be extremely suspect to being a zit, as well as the fact that it doesn't "pop".

The tumor part is what has me scared a bit, however the regrowth from the previous excising simply regrew to approximately the same original size and no larger. The lack of uncontrolled growth doesn't rule out a tumor, but it also doesn't lead me to believe in any sort of malignancy. But this is what has me paranoid.

Finally, I have and have had several larger plantar warts over the last 10 years, in particularly unusual locations for plantars (soft tissue skin on the back of the hands near the knuckles - the typical location for a plantar is the soles of feet and toes, which is where I currently have two on my right foot). I'm not hoping for it to be a wart, but I'd rather it not be a tumor.

I am hoping it's possibly scar tissue from where I broke my nose (hockey slapshot windup to the face) many years back.

When it was "excised", why wasn't there a biopsy, for heaven's sake?

Oh no, don't tell me...self surgery?
