...just to keep me returning to them for repairs?

Seems like ever since I started taking my car to these guys, like clockwork every 2 weeks or so, something else small needs repair.

Oil change initially. Then a wheel bearing, then the exhaust, then the service engine light, then the thermostat. Now, the engine RPM's rise to almost 2K when in Park from time to time. All within the span of a few months.

Granted the car isnt new, and it has about 70K miles, but it just seems weird to me. I have always taken care of my car, I am the one and only owner, and up until now, it has been just fine.

You should list what kind of car it is becasue if it's American people are gonna start whining about how it's American and that's why it's getting fvcked over... haha

If Meineke was screwing with your car, you would know it. Females always know when there's cheating going on.

take it somewhere else for a 20 point inspection or something similar. you can probably get it for free or pretty cheap...they will tell you if there are any problems and you can go from there.

take it back there.
laptop + very small video camera or two = evidence (if they're doing something)
If you catch them, at the very least, have them reimburse you for the previous work.

Damn it...I got pissed at my local dealer's price and took my car there in a pinch for breaks. Worst automotive care mistake ever. If I could, I'd gladly go back and pay the extra $400 my dealer wanted if only to have breaks that would STOP SQUEAKING!!!

I've taken it back twice and neither time did they successfully fix it. I'm just gonna drive around with these squeaky breaks until I need new ones and then gleefully fork over the $1000 the dealer wants.

My wife took her car (well, minivan) to a Meinke to get the brakes changed. We are now going back for the 5th time tomorrow because the brakes are still squeaking. Fortunately, the only thing we've had to pay for since the initial visit is the cost of the parts.

We're honestly thinking of trying to get the charges there reversed because it has just been ridiculous going back all these times for a simple brake change.

Did you brake your breaks? :(
