What are the most common haircuts? What do you get?

Used to get a 3 on top and 2 sides, but I just run a 2 guard all around now and cut it myself.

1.5 on sides, then I have them use scissors on top to cut it short. I dont like the way it looks when they use the clippers, just doesnt look as good to me.

If the place is decent I'll get them to use scissors on the side too, I like the look of that better, but most hairdressers give me a when I ask them.

That's what I get, no sideburns, tapered, rounded in the back, with the bangs slightly longer than the rest of the top. Being athletically inclined and working in a power plant in Texas mandates short and thin hair.

There's a name? I just cut it shorter. Except I have a bald spot on the rear-top of my head so I can never cut that area short. I like leaving it long, looks like a mushroom.

In years gone by, I wore my hair just long enough on top that it would comb instead of a high & tight flat-top. (I have too many cowlicks for a decent flat-top, even though I prefer that style.)

I did the whole shaved sides, long on top thing in junior high.

sophomore year of high school I just stopped cutting my hair and let it grow with just the occasional trip to the hair dresser to trim off the ends, even it out, and cut the sideburns. more-or-less kept it at shoulder length.

senior year, I shaved it all off after a combination of a bad dye job and getting inspired by a guy in a porno, and I've kept it shaved down to just the stubble since.
