X2/X3 are both very beautiful games. I could switch to the outside view of my ship and just see how the shadows and light from the different stars play across it all day.

Also World of Goo.

And Oblivion is honestly a very beautiful game. It's one of the few games that actually has a sunrise/sunset worth watching.

Baldur's Gate. When this came out, the high-res backgrounds were AMAZING with the great sound s well. Very Immersive for a sprite-based game. Just amazing.

Minecraft is both ugly and uniquely beautiful at the same time. You go into it and see the 8-bit looking blocks eevrywhere and think it is ugly, but then you see the wonderously beautiful things people build with them and it becomes beautiful. just check out the colleseum on the AT server and you will see what I mean (along with many other buildings on the AT server). With the lighting, it can be even more beautiful at night.

I think the landscapes in Minecraft can be pretty epic. Yeah, they're blocky, but there's something so nice about them at the same time.

For its time, wing commander, "heart of the tiger", made a huge impact on my appreciation of pc games, it was such an epic story with a few diff branches to take.

Myst, hands down.

Altho every scene was static, I could look at it and marvel at what my (2D) video card was capable of doing. The atmosphere fit the game to a 't'.

Clive Barker's Undying was great looking, I thought the rather stylised art and design was much better than the photo-realistic approach of some games. Made me want to visit the west coast of Ireland.

..Final Fantasy IX was pretty legit at its time...The CGIs looked great and the graphics(for an open world RPG) were pretty awesome.
