What are the minimum types of insurance required?

I am specifically talking about in ohio, but any info is helpful. I was just checking my new policy from allstate indemnity with which i have liability coverage on 2 cars. On the policy it states Automobile Liability Insurance under which it has listed Bodily injury and property damage. Then under that a new listing says Uninsured Motorists Insurance under which it says property damage at 7500.00 with a 250.00 dollar deductible. Is that last one required? Oh yeah and on the last page is Uninsured Motorist Insurance for bodily injury. It seems to me like the last two should be a requirement. If some uninsured driver hits my car it's only gonna put me out a few hundred dollars, and if they hurt me, i have insurance, so i don't think i need those coverages. The reason I ask is that this is actually my girlfriends policy that i am also on. She had it before she met me and then i eventually just got put on it. So i wonder if she didn;t set it up with the extra coverages.
