What are the minimum rquirement to go to US from Canada??

Drivers license is good enough. Before 9/11, you could have used just a CC or showed them a handful of Canadian Tire money.
 
I have gotten in with just ID post 9/11, before you could get in almost no questions asked, except "where you going?" "where you from?" and "how long do you plan on staying?".
 
Make sure you have NO criminal background of any kind...even a DWI can be enough to deny you entrance...we have a friend who got a DWI aomost 20 yrs ago, they told him he couldn't enter the country...we offered to leave him there, and pick him up on the way back...he thought that sucked...so we ALL went back...
 
They showed one crossing up north where you're supposed to pull over at the border, call them from a phone in a little shack and hold up your passport to the videocam 😀 Even the sheriff of the town admitted he doesn't always stop.
 
i got no criminal background.The only card i can show atm is my health care card( assrance maladie du quebec) a card we have here in quebec.Im not sure i will recevie by time my birth certificat, and my pasport is EXPIRED.Can an EXPIRED passport work to pass threw us frontier???

i always have more trouble coming back. I dont think you need a passport until Jan 07.

the american guards like it if your car is nice and clean (inside) and you don't have junk all over so they can see everything in plain view.
 
I am going to Vancouver in a few weeks, however I will be flying. They said all I need for now is a Birth Certificate with photo ID to get back into the US. They didn't say anything about going to Canada though (This was Air Canada).
 
If you dont have a passport (an expired one will not work), you'll need a birth cert + picture ID (basically you need to prove you are a Canadian citizen)... I don't know if they will accept your health ID card (they may think it's fake and would not accept it)...
 
They prefer to see a passport or birth certificate when coming back into the states. I don't know if the laws have changed since 2002 but my friend asked one day why a driver's license isnt good enough. The answer was all a driver's license proves is that you are allowed to drive in the US. It does not prove citizenship. Pre 9/11 we use to go over the border with just a driver's license and came back into the US no problems. Afterwards, we wouldn't ride with anyone without a passport or birth certificate since it was less of a hassle coming back into the US.

I think you need an Opteron 165 or better nowadays... They beefed up the requirements. 2GB ram is definitely necessary too.

Sorry dude, I mis read your title as goint TO canada from the US...the Canucks are the ones who are tough on crime and criminals coming to spend their hard earned US dollars...but I expect your expired passport won't be enough...you'll probably need birth certificate and photo ID like a driver's licence...

With all of those trees, you'll be lucky to get 20fps with that. You'll need to turn the view distance down a lot.
