The diameter of this 2003 Illinois quarter is about .950"

The thickness is about .0650".

Measured using my dial caliper.

I think these machines do not go by dimesnions, they work by passing an electrical signal through the coin and testing something to determine what coin it is. Correct me if I'm wrong.
