what are the differences in canon rebel models?

i am buying a canon rebel 300D and would like a film-based rebel for backup, and want to be able to use lenses interchangeably. i have looked at the 200 and the ti, but also seen the x and g2. what is the difference between all of the models, and which would be better?

300D = no canon waranty. If you are in US, you want the Digital Rebel. 300D is not a US model.
