What are the default Vcore for E6600 and E6300

I have a 6300 B2. DS3 says the default vcore is 1.2875. I heard other people say that their's started at 1.3250? Which is it?

My office has a Dell with 6600. It's vcore according to CPUz is 1.218?@#? That sounds really low... What is it usually? I doubt Dell have undervolted anything...

Well i'm just wondering if the VID for 6600 is actually 1.218, then why would you have the VID for 6300 at 1.2875?@!#@

Haha, you did the same thing I did, the last time I tried to answer this question, only I somehow ended up with a 6 between the 3 and the 5. :laugh: To the OP, it's 1.325v on all C2D's. The motherboard at your office just has severe vdroop. Of course, it's voltage monitoring chip could just be borked, and it's really ~1.325v.

edit: And Intel says a max of 1.450v.
 
That sounds strange because the reading is taken when the computer is completely idle... Can you have a drop of >.1 volt at idle? Also DS3 interprets the VID info on my 6300 to say the voltage is 1.2875. I don't think it's low because I'm running at this voltage at 400*7=2800 MHz without any stability issues (>12 hr of Orthos). I know intel has a VID system (like a 6 bit number that can be converted to a voltage. I found the table but I don't know where to look for the 6 bits from my processor!
 
I think it has to be right. I just don't understand why people have different voltages to start with. I read the Intel Core 2 Duo spec sheet and it says that each processor is individually calibrated so that this voltage might be different.
