Examples: The new discover card, the American Express Blue and Black cards(Yes i know I can't get one), American Eagle Outfitters Clear card, Visa smart chip, etc.

*EDIT: Added the second question. I've never owned a CC b4, what would you recommend? I buy 90% of my stuff online, I'm in college, and I don't have a job.

I personally like my Bank of America Platinum Check Card. Looks 1337.

Doesn't do it justice though. Blue is much darker, and the silver is more shiny. :D

American Express Centurian AKA "Black" card. Didn't think they existed until I saw one up close. The guy I knew had Nieman-Marcus shutdown so he could shop for his girlfriend.

Who cares how it looks? All the BILLS look the same when you get them.

No matter which card you use, you'll look like this -----> :( When the bills come every month.

By the time you've realized it, you owe a LOT of money, and look like this -----> :Q When you see how much you owe.

When you finally realize that you're $20K in the hole, you'll just feel like this --------> :|

Any questions?~

WTF? You're a first-time CC user. Why do you give half a rat's ass what the card looks like?

Care about annual fees, interest rates, and hidden charges.

Like MichaelD said - it all looks the same when you get your bill. :Q

And for "coolness factor" - paying for items on the happy side of four digits in cash is far cooler than a Platinum card IMO.
The "card" means that you're just putting it off and paying for it for a year or so.
Having five large in cash to slap down on the table just means you're freakin' loaded.
