What are the complaints about the Enlight 7237?

If I mod it to put a 120mm up front and leave stock an 80mm exhaust (plus my Enermax 330w) will the cooling be comparable to the Antec SX830?

In addition what are the other complaints about it? I will be buying one and basically discarding the power supply since my Enermax owns. If I make it a bit more cooling-capable (see above), what other complaints will I have?

I like the 4+2 external bay setup, I'm alraedy at 3+2 and I want the extra one that the SX830 doesn't have.

some ppl have problems with the front bezel, but i havent so far. definately enlarge the holes for the front intake though, or mod it however you like. at least it doesnt have those lame purple fan housings inside =P (jj antectech....err anandtech ppl)

I have always like mine, not enough 3.5's if your gonna raid, but they are better in the 5.25's bays anyway (cooler).

According to these pics the 7237 doesn't even have a rear exhaust fan. That's why I didn't buy one. Or are these pics incorrect?

Muerto,

Thta's the old 7230.. the 7237 is different in having removable sides adn a rear 80mm exhaust hole pre-existing.

Since i love to complain...hmmm what i don't like about my Enlight 7237. 🙂

· I don't care for the drive rails at all, since i have my harddrive mounted in a 5 1/4 bay, it used to rattle till lined it with a tire innertube, fact that it rattled is a blah, many other cases i have that uses rails, do too. I just say blah for rails don't want em!

· The stock intake is poor, the holes are far too small and restricted to get any kinda airflow through em

· The top should be removable, which it is rivited on.

· To open up the doors on the sides the front brazel must be taken off, as my other cases like the In-Win S500 slides back, they should have designed it this way.

· The rear exhaust should be 92mm and so should the intake as there is plenty of space for it.

Pics of my shinny black, hacked up, quiet 7237 (these are old)

My complaint list:

1) if you put a big (dual-CPU) motherboard in it, CD-ROM-sized drives won't fit into all the 5.25" bays.

2) the sheet metal is a bit thinner than the S500, for instance.

3) like Giz said, the bezel doesn't breathe well unless you modify it

4) not very many internal 3.5" bays, it would have been easy enough for them to add a static HDD bracket below the slide-out one.

5) Power button and reset button look too much alike? 😉
