So I just moved into a new home in a whole different area and today I drove into work for the first time from this location.
I had my Garmin GPS and was going to just take what it suggested but was thinking the whole time that there must be a better way with back roads.
As I'm sitting in traffic, I look over and see what looks to be a guy in my department, so I said screw it and just followed him.
I get taken through all these back roads and twisting and winding everywhere, theres just no way in hell I would have found this route on my own.
All in all, it probably shaved 20 mins off my commute vs. had I taken the way the GPS was suggesting.
So I get to work and find that guy in my department and said "do you drive a Dodge?" since that's the kind of car I was following, and he said "nope".
I basically followed a complete stranger for 20 miles through twisting back roads (along with other commuters taking the same route) and somehow I still got to my work yet it wasn't a person I worked with.
What are the chances?
At least I know a good short cut now
