what are the chances of g70 selling for around $400-425?

I've been holding off on upgrading till the new cards are released but I can't justify spending more than $425 on a video card.

Possible within 2 weeks of introduction for the $399 MSRP 7800GT version. Looking at X2 AMD processors, which debuted at prices fairly close to MSRP, it doesnt always mean that new production introductions bring +$100/200 price premiums. We'll just have to wait and see. At the very least you can probably expect to see price drops on the high-end current cards.

Depends how stock goes. If they truley have alot of them made then they should be near MSRP or below if you find the right deal. An example I got my first 6800GT for $303 shipped last July.... Which is great considering MSRP was $100 more than that.

So MSRP is $399? That would be great but I find it doubtful that it will be at that price.

I refuse to pay more than $399 for a video card, and even that's kinda insane considering the flagship Voodoo3 3000 for less than half that price when it came out. :(

A big reason that these top end cards are going for higher prices is because people pay such prices for these top end cards

$399 sounds about right.

Yahoo has an article up noting that Nv is dropping prices across the board to make room for the new ones.

They'll probably going to be running at 700$+ when they're released.

for the dumbasses who buy them directly from newegg or zipzoomfly, probably.
