What are the chances of a radical Islamist domino effect in the Middle East?

If the global effort abandons Afghanistan, what can stop the radical islamist domino effect from overrunning the Middle East? Now you might claim that the similar feared communist domino effect in Vietnam never materialized in reality.

But remember that since communism was an alien ideology planted on a foreign land aka Vietnam, the others (the neighborhood nations) saw no reason to follow that madness. Not the case of Islam as the relationship it shares with the Middle East, Islam is the heart, the soul, the mind of the masses of that region of the world.

So the question whether there would be an radical Islamist domino effect once Afghanistan collapses?

I would hardly call whats happenning in afghanistan a "GLOBAL" effort.
I a loose sense of the word they have already over run the midddle east.....

Radical ideas within Islam are already global. So your question seems to be off the mark.

If anything, Afghanistan will provide a nice concentration for us to make an example out of at some later date.

Islamists don't make good dominos, the soft turbans and abundance of facial hair prevent the proper transfer of energy when they contact each other

The consolidation of power under the name of Islam has been going on since we started using massive quantities of their oil. Our footprint and foreign policy, regarding their Island, serves as a wedge and a tool to keep the key players in a state of competitive dependency on our consumption. The only domino effect you will see is the one that occurs when their oil and gas money is gone, and they all become a mirror reflection of what Afghanistan is.

Islam redivivus has been occurring for the last 40 or so years. There is less tolerance for religious minorities where Islam predominates and more countries practicing Sharia since Caliphate was disbanded.

For example check out this graphic of women at Cairo University. Soon I suspect there will be no women enrolled.

PS I'm not sure what you mean by "radical Islam" you either are Islamic or a MINO. The West is suggesting they become MINO's like the Doctor from Syria you know down the street and that is not going to happen as they gain more wealth visa vi oil shortages. With wealth comes power and influence so they can excert their nativism rather than bow to West.

The comparison between those to pictures says a lot about the changing flow of culture.
