What are the best settings for a new lg 2240S monitor?

The default brightness is set at 100, contrast 70 and sharpness 5.It is currently too bright.I know it has to do with personal preference,but any suggestions on how to set the monitor would be helpful.Im afraid the image quality would be reduced if i dont set it correctly.The monitor is set to its native resolution 1920X1080.

Brightness, contrast and, sharpness are all set to according to personal preference. They have NOTHING to do with image quality displayed, just your perspective. Welcome and enjoy your new monitor.
