Gone in 60 seconds was a good remake. I later saw the original. Not bad but the newer one I enjoyed more.

Some of the worst remakes that come to mind:
Get Carter
Flubber
Swept Away
The Nutty Professor

One of the better:
The Thomas Crown Affair
Others are slipping my mind right now.

planet of the apes original vs the new version.

The original was so much more thought provoking and had much better actors. The new one was just catering to the 15 year old crowd. Just an action movie with little/no plot.

I liked the US version of Cousin, Cousine.
I did not like Black Knight. Man, Martin Lawrence gives me the creeps and he is as funny as a sore lower back.

Great Expectations was a great remake, it didn't follow a lot of the story, but kept the themes alive. And Gwyneth Paltrow does full nude.

I dont remember she did full nude in that movie. Nonetheless I agree it is a good remake.

Worst remakes would have been Rollerball.

i saw solaris and apparently it was a remake of an original. I can't imagine that the original would be any good if the remake is an indicator.

Psycho.

Who the hell makes a remake that's EXACTLY like the original?!?

Talk about a total lack of creativity.

The Thing was a very good remake. Much more chilling than the original.

The original movie was a Russian sci-fi movie and is hailed as one of their better films.

Good one. That was one of the scariest/freakiest movie monsters ever.

Sabrina. Nobody can replace Audrey "The Goddess" Hepburn, but Julia Ormond did well. Harrison Ford did a good job replacing Bogie.

Man, so many......how do I pick.

Personally, I thought Last Man Standing with Bruce Willis was terrible. The original w/Clint Eastwood was great. (Title escapes me....for a few dollars more?)
