RealTemp for Intel quads, RealTempGT for Intel 6 cores, Core Temp for Intels over 6 cores. I like Open Hardware Monitor as well for all chips, it worked better for me than anything else on my AMD chip.

HWMonitor and HWiNFO are both good and free.

You sure? Last time I went to CPUID.com, to download HWMonitor, they were only allowing download of HWMonitorPro, trial version, which is limited to 30 days. They seem to not be offering the unlimited free version anymore. (Not saying that you can't still download that at a third-party site, that's what I had to do.)

Real Temp has an easy checkbox to start and end a logfile. It keeps track of each core, and shows the time and CPU%. Open office will open the csv file. The log file will record for hours.

Just checked now and downloading the latest version (1.28.0) is possible. Nothing about only downloading their Pro version, which also has a download link on their webpage, and nothing is mentioned about fees. From this link: http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html

I like Argus. It's much more comprehensive than all the others & gives graphs to show the history of everything. GPU temps, GPU speeds, video RAM, CPU load, CPU temps, CPU watts, CPU speeds, system RAM, hdd temp, fan speeds....pretty much everything.

That would certainly be useful.

My 930 bluescreens on me from time to time with a mild OC. The last OC I tried was from 3.6. However, the highest temp I have seen is 70 C, which seems high considering I have water cooling, but it should be fine.

I turned off OC, and I don't have any issues at all. I will probably just keep it like this for another year, and then upgrade.
