Alot of what you will want to set in your BIOS is going to depend on the quality of your components; especially RAM. Here is a decent guide to assist you initially. You might also want to check out this other Forum.

I am also looking for some good bios settings for the K7S5A

I have it with AMD 1400...I have random reboots at the 133/133 settings.

Only when I lower it to 100/100 (1050 hz instead of 1400) does my system become stable, so I figure that is may be a memory settings.

Any help from anyone?

Best settings
-Memory timings: Ultra
-All other RAM timings should be as low as you can since they are latencies
-Make sure that your HD and your CD/DVD-ROM are in PIO mode 5, they get kicked down to the highest setting they are rated for anyways

As for the random reboot problems, do you have a good PS? (350W high-quality is recommended with this board) it is a very important factor because he board is very picky.

I think I just found my problem....I am running Crucial PC1600 DDR ram.

Isn't this designed for 100hz fsb? and don't I have to run my AMD 1400 on a 133hz fsb to reach 1400hz.

I better buy some pc2100 memory...maybe this will stop all of the rebooting on XP

Your overclocking your mem by 33%. Maybe if you choose some thing like Normal timings and CAS 3, you can get your system stable.
