I need to know which fans are the best in terms of noise and quality. I found this link at Panasonic.com and was pondering about it.

Here's the link.

I think the H1A and L1A in terms are the best. But the H1A has better air cooling but louder noise.

Also, where can I find Panaflos with stock 3 pin connectors!?

hey zclyh3,

"best" is a really relative term. it depends on what ur needs are. for me, i like the L1A's because they're super quiet. i'm currently using 4 of these on my case, and will be using a 5th as my cpu fan once i get my gc68 heat sink in. these probalby won't do for extreme overclockers, as they don't push enough air for the cooling necessary.

if u want to get the L1A's, probably the best deal that's out there rite now is from bgmicro.com. they sell them for $2.79 each, or $2.25 each for 10+ quantities. here's a direct link to the fan.

hope this helps.

Since the 1A series do not have RPM monitoring it does not matter if you have a 3 pin connector. The 2 pin connector that comes with them is easily modified for use on a motherboard header. Just trim off one of the tabs (the one next to the red wire I believe, double check another thread for exact mod. instructions).

you can get the stock panaflo 3pin/4pin tails at PCMods.com

all you do is pop off the connector from the fan, and connect the 3/4pin version.. i got some to go along with my panaflos i got from bgmicro.

warning, i was going to get just 4 tails, but shipping was $7.xx ground.. so i just got 10 with shipping being in the same $7.xx area. get extras if ya can.. still, nice to have it connect to the power supply instead of the mobo :)
