The only thing worth doing to an M98 is putting a bottomline system on it and a compression chamber for more consistancy between shots... that alone is a lot of money to put into an entry level gun. You have to decide when it just makes more sense to get a better gun.

Find out more about modding your m98 here.

Best way to get that is make sure you get the right balls for your barrel, just don't get any old balls find out the size of your barrel most common are medium bore .68 .69

Like I said... the best thing you can possibly do for that gun is put a FLATLINE system on it. Get a better barrel. Flatline. The diagram sucks... but it'll make the gun equal to a 68 Carbine with a good expansion chamber. :)

Tippmann makes incredible guns, but the problem with them is that almost all the manufactured upgrades are propritary...made in house. Unlike Spyders/Piranha and many other similar guns that are fairly interchange.

Get a new barrel first. Stock sucks.

In 99% of the cases yes, but Tippmann makes a good stock barrel. The 8.5 that came on my .68 Carbine/Prolite was very accurate.

ok, so its down to the boomstick or the flatline, the flatline seems like a better choice as it give me an extra 100 feet or so of range, but is it accurate? also, what advantage does the boomstick give me? Im starting to lean towards the flatline, plus it looks cool :)

I don't play paintball so I don't really know..

but regarding the Flatline mod

wouldn't that be kinda like cheating to have a gun that shoots twice as far as a normal one ?

do not get the flatline. the added distance is not worth it because the paintball gets really slow. Both of my friends had it, then got rid of it because you can catch the pb because it slows down. what kind of paint do u normally use? because there is no point in spending alot of money on a boomstick (which is small bore isnt it?) if you shoot larger bore paint
