In terms of mainstream cars I personally love the E46 M3 and the last generation S550..

F458, '04-'08 Acura TL (for a regular sedan it's nice and clean and good looking, unlike the current monstrosity), Ford GT, CLS55 (this is subjective, but I love the look, even if I'm not a fan of Mercedes), S5, Raptor (what a cool truck should look like, lol), Triumph Speed Triple (biased, have to include this even though it's a bike).

Lots of win.

Here's my addition to this thread. If I won the lottery (if I ever played the lottery, I would of course, as predicted by my daydreams, win) and if there wasn't a several-year wait, I would purchase a Morgan Aero SuperSports.

Click on the image for more pics at Morgan's official site. I know it is a bit cross-eyed, but so is Kym Johnson and she's hawt too! Anyways, back to the Morgan...

Morgan Aero SuperSports - First Drive Review

Specs:
$185,000 est. price
200 units will be produced
made of bonded aluminum (and maybe wood)
powered by a BMW 32-valve NA V8 with 362BHP
0-60 in 4.2s
2600 pound weight

Top Gear USA review

That has to be one of the ugliest cars...I'd say ever, but there are far uglier cars. Still, that thing is fucking hideous. My 8 year old Maxima is prettier.

With respect to some of the comments posted in this thread:

The S5 is stunning-looking and one of the most appealing current production cars in terms of looks. Unfortunately I think its looks are writing checks its dynamics can't cash.

The first-gen Merc CLS is gorgeous, and might be the first pretty Merc sedan. I was blown away by that design when they first released it.

I am not a Morgan fan, particularly not the more modern designs, but I can appreciate their wooden-framed freakiness in this era of relatively homogenized cars. If I were going to include weird British couture sports cars I think I'd have gone for TVR over Morgan.

I think the C5 Corvette is prettier than the C6, but I don't think either is epically attractive. I think the C2 Corvette is one of the most beautiful cars ever made, but that was 45+ years ago. It always kinda bummed me out that the C5 ZO6 was that ugly notchback design - the standard coupe is much better looking to my eyes.

I agree the basic shape of the Fisker Karma is gorgeous, but I think it's a little overstyled as a total package, and I would find it hard to pay six figures for a car with the same engine block as an HHR. Still, I wish the company success and like what they're trying to do.

I love the Lambo Reventon for its over-the-top masculinity, and like it more than its production counterparts, but I don't know that it makes sense to include such a limited-production car.

I LOVE the various iterations of the Zonda but don't consider them beautiful. If I were a gazillionaire I would be a big Pagani guy, but not because of prettiness.

I wouldn't say it drives like a supercar, it's more Go Kart if anything.

I guess I have to agree with this. A stock Vette or Mustang GT puts out similar 0-60 numbers, and will flat-out dominate it at rolling speeds or racing to 100 and beyond. The feel and handling I would imagine to be quite a bit different though, but again even supercars such as the Veyron, LP640, Reventon, Enzo, etc, are all much larger vehicles that probably don't exactly feel like go-karts anyway, and they have HEAPS more power to deal with.

Am I correct in understanding that in the UK the Elise/Exige are sort of a run-of-the-mill car you see daily? And that aren't particularly expensive? Over here they're incredibly rare, and cost quite a lot of money. I've also heard the reverse, that things which are dirt-cheap over here, such as the Mustang GT and Corvette, cost wild amounts over there, competing against cars in price points we would consider insane here.

I literally can't believe I forgot the Carrera GT:

To me this is one of the best-looking sports cars ever, and certainly the most beautiful Porsche (and this is coming from a big 911 fan). The 918 is also incredible but we'll see whether the production car looks as good as the show car.

By and large: NOT what people are driving.

There is so much butt-ugly plastic on the road its not even funny. Saddest part is most of them are poorly built shit as well.
I cry for America. We cant even get conspicuous consumption right anymore.

There indeed is some horribad looking stuff out there. Most Lincolns, most Acura now, just so much fail out there. And all of the me-too SUVs. Toyota alone must make 50 different fucking suvs, and aside from the FJ, they basically look like carbon copies of varying sizes of bland boxiness.

The worst is the deliberately ugly stuff like the Pontiac Aztec (which may have put them out of business) Nissan Cube, PT Cruiser, Cooper Mini, Chevy SSR and more.
