Not a bad tune, was quite popular when it came out. As far as instrumental music, I was always fond of jamb bands, with the Allman Brothers Band being arguably the best of them.

Most of what I listen to is instrumental. I couldn't even begin to pick a favorite.

Here's one I've been listening to lately. Booker T & the MGs - Time Is Tight

live to match the OP.

Edit:

Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Gathering Storm

Joy Wants Eternity - Abide, Moment!

Sigur Rós - Popplagið nominally instrumental. The vocals are nonsense syllables meant to be an instrument.

You can't be serious.

I'm outa here.

Frankenstein is one of the best instrumentals of all time. It's one of the few that became a top 10 hit. Don't poo-poo other people's taste in music (unless they're promoting Justin Bieber, Kanye West, or Nickleback).

I still am amazed my Classical Gas. Watching Tommy Emmanuel play makes me want to quit playing guitar because if I practiced 20 hours a day I would never be this good:
