Their website says $0.12/min with a $0.50/mo service fee though. And can PP activate a VZ Inpulse?
Another thing is to go T-Mobile. $100 gets your 1000 minutes and they don't expire for a whole year. Use coupons or points at cheapphonecards and you might be able to get a $100 card for maybe like $87-$90, further cutting the per-minute cost down.
You have to take into account what us pageplus-ers refer to as the "funny money." If you buy a $25 card, you actually get $36 credited to your account. $36/.12 = 300 minutes.
My wife and I used to be on a shared plan. But when I got a new job that included a company phone (with Verizon), we canceled that plan (and employer paid the ETF). Got a single plan for her on Verizon @ ~$50-ish a month including taxes.
Turns out she wasn't using many minutes, so I looked at what options were out there towards the end of her contract. I read about PP on howardforums, and activated her phone on it as soon as her contract ended.
I buy her a $25 card every 3 months or so. Works out perfectly. $100/year vs $600/year. Yeah, I know, I could go sero, but what's the point?
Page Plus uses the verizon native network (you may roam in some areas at .99/min, but I haven't found one yet), so coverage is awesome. But Tmobile is also good, if PP wasn't around, I would have gone with them.
It all depends on your needs. How many minutes a month? Lots of texting? Need data?
