What are the best brushes to use for painting minitures, such as Warhammer?

I am using some cheapo .75 brushes right now they are working on but i just want a little better quality brushes.

Are the ones made by Citidel Minitures for $5.00 any good or are the cheapo ones probally going to do just as good?
If you have any other recomendations for brushes to paint really small details please share them...

Thanks,
Josh

Hmm, I don't know. We always just used Testor (sp?) brushes.

My brother and I were pretty big into the Ral Partha BattleTech miniatures. We'd prime them, paint them in a base-paint color for camoflague . . . usually tan, we had a bunch of tan spray paint, then just use a detail brush to add details .. . gun barrels, rockets, cockpit, etc.

I have never seen testors brand brushes that were small enough to work with the details on these models.

thin your paint and do multiple coats. Get an airbrush. Go to a hbby shop and pick up a couple of the fine tipped brushes they have there fora few bucks each. Dont smash your brushes so that they lose thier tip.

Ok, Im using water to thin my paints already, they are water based. I dont think an airbrush would work on something this small but ill check into it.

I work at a craft store, thats where I got the .75 brushes, they are like 2.99 retail....

I know not to smash the tips 😛, but thanks for the pointers.

I got a Mega Paint Set for free a while back, and got the whole set of their brushes in with it...some of the best brushes I've used, and they sure beat the thick, plasticky, disposables I had been using from Testors. Great brushes.

WOW, that paint set is 160 bucks :Q, How did you get it for free 😀 lol.

If you say the brushes are that good ill probally go and pick some up tommorw at my local gamesworkshop, along with some extra paint, I hate the fact that they have 5 billion colors..... :-/
