I am goin to buy the sb live 5.1 oem sound card. i am tryin to look for some cheap 5.1 speakers. i am considerin the cambridge 5300's. what do u think? my computer is mainly used for gaming, watching movies and tv
The best 5.1 speakers would be the Klipsch 5.1s...but they run for about $399. I've heard of some other companies that make pretty good speakers in general: Boston Acoustics, Logitech, and of course Klipsch. I'm not sure if Boston Acoustics and Logitech make 5.1 speakers, but their 4.1 speakers are pretty good, maybe you might want to look into those. Hope this helps.
yea i know about the boston acoustics and the logitech 4.1 speakers my friend has the Ba's but he broke the sub it sorda rattles, then he just order the logitech 560's. and he is askin like 50 bucks for hes BA's. have u heard anything about the creative 5.1's. i think altec makes some but i dont know what there called.
after doing research on the net and in the forums I finally bought the Creative Inspire 5300 5.1 speakers. I am very happy with them so far, have watched a movie and played songs on them.
For my room, which is not all that big and my purpose I absolutely love them. They run $100 and they are supposedly the best bang for your buck as far as cheap surround goes. Check out this comprehensive review on the speakers at tweakmonkey's place. The audigy stuff you can just skip... http://www.tweak3d.net/reviews/creative/audigy/
