What are the bare minimum services we want our govt to provide?

Government:
Infrastructure(roads, sanitation, power)
National Defense
Police/Fire Department
Legal System
Currency System

Leave to the Private sector:
Schools
General Health Care (Provide own Insurance)
Retirement Plans
Disaster relief
Scientific research
Phone, Cable, Internet
Banks
Anything else the government has its fingers in that should be left to private sector.

Everyone has a right to vote, so more uneducated people means more terrible policies and terrible politicians ... Uneducated people are incredibly dangerous, especially when they can vote.

That's very true! Hence why I'm glad you agree with us that socialized government-run schools should be abolished, since they lead to indoctrinated, uneducated (and in some areas like Detroit, even illiterate) voters.
