Hi, I'm totally new to these forums but I have been visiting this site every day for the past year.
I am researching components for a totally new computer. I have a 1.2GHz TBird at the moment. Time for an upgrade.
Anyway, I was wanting to know what kind of performance benefit we would get from the improved timings on the new RAM coming out. Will the Corsair XL at 2-2-2-5 be any better than 'normal' XMS RAM?
Alos, I recall from a while ago that either Intel or AMD systems (can't remember which) can't run at really low timings. Does this still apply to the Atholn 64's, specifically the new socket 939's?
Thanks.
