what are the abit kt7 via drivers for?

I have a duron and an abut kt7. Do I need to install the via drivers? I am using windows me. What do they do?

Yes install the drivers, they help windows recognise the via chipsets. Also the via AGP drivers are on there as well. Install any bus mastering drivers on the CD as well.
