I have tried 4 motherboards (2 asus, 1 chaintech, and the one that came in my shuttle sn41g), 4 sticks of RAM - 2 corsair xms2400 and 2 samsung sticks - don't remember the numbers, but see the anandtech review of the asus a7v8x and thats the type of ram I got - 3 different power supplies, a gainward GF4, and the integrated graphics on my XPC. I cannot get picture on my perfectly functional monitor (tested the monitor in between tries). The two processors I have used I guess are dead - but I don't know for sure. When I use them (Athlon thunderbird 1.4 and XP 2200) they do get hot. The heatsink (SK6 w/delta fan) and the Shuttle ICE heat device do get hot... I am using Artic Silver 2 between the proc and heatsink... How do I tell exactly if the proc's are burned? The 1.4 I had oc'ed to 1.5 for about a year - it ran fine, until one day when my pc just stopped posting. The 2200 I never got a system to boot with - but then again, I haven't actually been able to independently test the samsung sticks of ram, or the newer mobos. I NEVER get any beeps from my mobos. Tried booting on cardboard boxes, tried plugging into different sockets, I am so stumped...
