What are some things that are overpriced but you bought anyway?

I paid $32 for this little metal tube. I needed it and only one place makes them.

$32 for 1oz. of aluminum. I could probably get it custom machined for $32.

(It's a calibration tube for a Mass Air sensor on my car so that I can use 38lb/hr fuel injectors.)

Custom machining is typically $50 an hour with a 1 hour minimum. I could make than in ~1 hour, but experts wouldn't take anywhere near that long - but they will charge you for it.

After thinking about it, my only answer is slow food restaurants. I'm such a cheapskate that I don't buy things that I know are overpriced.

Criterion Collection DVDs. I hate it when (mostly classic) movies don't have a non-Criterion version... $35 for a freaking movie.

sushi, that shizzle is way overpriced
clothes, most of the stuff I buy is WAY overpriced.
