I just captured an hour and a half of video from the composite port @ 720 X 480, 29.97fps. The file size was 30Gig using HuffYUV.

MJPEG file sizes will depend on your level of compression (quality setting) and the size of the video (320x240, 640x480, 720x480, etc).

FWIW

Roughly 40GB for a ~2hour movie capture using huffyuv and full 480 line resolution (Appx. half the size of RAW AVI).

Does ATI have it's own DV codec ?

I captured TV with the mjpeg and the ms dv codec the other day and the quality was just horible. I then captured with mpeg1 and it was perfect what am I doing wrong.

OOC, Why would you use a DV codec for an analog capture? I'm no fan of very lossy MJPEG compression either, If I need frame accurate cuts or want to edit, I live with the larger files and the far superior, slightly lossy Huffyuv codec. You're probably doing nothing wrong, "I" frame MPEG is superior to MJPEG IMHO. Even Matrox dumped it for MPEG compression in there eTV cards.
