I can't believe nobody has mentioned the all time, best, kick-ass ARCADE game 'ever' made: Centipede!.

1 ball, 1 fire button, 1 quarter = 1 hour. Simplicity at it's best, no stupid mega-20 button defender panel, just you, mushrooms and that constant techno -da,da,da,da,da,da,da,da beat pulsating through your head. I could reach 250,000+ and play for about an hour w/one quarter!
