Newbie console gamer here. I just bought my daughter a Wii for Christmas and I'm looking for input on some fun games. Really the PC is the center of my gaming universe but after studying the Wii I believe it has some unique experiences to offer that the PC & other consoles cannot provide.
So...I would like to know what you think are best games and most unique experiences for the Wii.
Any input is appreciated.:)

P.S....any good boxing games?

The only boxing game for the Wii right now is the one that comes with Wii Sports I think.

A remake of Punch-Out and Ready 2 Rumble are coming early next year though.

World of Goo
Zack and Wiki
Boom Blox
Mario Cart
Wii Fit

These are all very unique gameplay for the wii, wii fit not so much a game, but once you have the board, you could go with the skate boarding/snow boarding games.

And then you have to get the wii exclusive games. Not that its extremely intuitive concerning the wii controls.

Zelda: TW, Mario Galaxy, Metroid

SM Galaxy is a great game that doesn't over-utilize the Wiimote.
Twilight Princess is a decent Zelda game, but all motion-controls feel tacked on.
Metroid Prime 3 is a very good FPS with good motion-controls.
Mario Kart is loads of fun, but I prefer using a normal (Gamecube) controller to the Wiimote. It's a game your whole family can enjoy, however.
Zack and Wiki, World of Goo, and Bloom Blox are all supposed to be excellent, but unfortunately I'm a bad person and haven't played any of them.

Super Mario Galaxy. The game is just fucking amazing.
Mario Kart if you're playing with friends. The rubber band AI is frustrating when you're trying to unlock stuff... Nunchuck + Wiimote is the best control scheme. Way better than classic controller.
Zack and Wiki. Seriously the game is lots of fun and it's something you can play together with your daughter and both enjoy.
Animal Crossing is a good one if you haven't played Animal Crossing on gamecube or DS already

As for you:
No More Heroes - Amazing atmosphere and character design, very violent, very fun
Metroid Prime 3 - Good shooter, although a bit linear, that really uses the controls well
There's a Punch-Out game coming out sometime in the future. There really aren't good boxing games on Wii just yet.
