311 - love song, comes to mind. Better than the original.

Also Smashing pumpkins - landslide

Further, UB40 - Can't help falling in love (if that's the exact title). Awesome song.

All 3 are IMO better than the originals.

EDIT: That limp bizkit behind blue eyes was good. Also Cats in the cradle remake by I can't remmber who, in the mid 90s.

Well hell man, you are talking about the quintessential cover band. I mean the Dead covered everyone!

My faves are Jerry Band's Shining Star, Phish doing Freebird a cappela, Hendrix doing Dylan's Watchtower.

EDIT: Almost forgot, who's that band that remade Gin and Juice? That's a classic.
