Would like to hear the opinions from you guys, I am pretty new to this GPS thing and would like to know what kind of features, specs I need to look for.

While I am looking for a bargain, I'd also prefer something thats reliable and durable.

Thank you in advance.

Depends on what you want to do. Are you planning to use it for hiking, biking, travel, or all of the above? You could try the link below. The site is big on geocaching but there are also many threads on GPS in general. I have a Lowrance iWay 100M and a Garmin C320. The iWay is a sturdy hand held with voice directions but is a bit cumbersome to use in the car. I prefer the Garmin 320 for traveling. I purchased a 1g SD card for the Garmin and loaded all of the US maps. It works great but there are many others out there that may be better for you depending on your needs.

i would definitely use it before purchasing. if it isn't easy for you to use, no matter how good its specs are you'll regret purchasing it. i can't help much more than that...i worked at fry's over the summer in the electronic components department but i only went to the GPS's when printing labels only to see how they were
