Anyone here have a few suggestions on healthy meals for losing weight and gaining muscle? I've cleaned my diet up quite a bit over the past week or so but I still could make some improvements. I've heard a lot of people say that chicken breast and tuna are good foods that are'nt high in fat but I need some other suggestions as well. My biggest problem is breakfast, since I don't like oatmeal it's hard to find something healthy to eat in the morning. Lunch is'nt so bad because I'm usually not very hungry during that time of day, so soup or a salad is usually enough for me. Dinner is a challege sometimes because I hate to eat the same thing everyday. Fortunately I almost never drink soda or juices, 99% of the time I drink ice water so at least I don't have to worry about calories there.

Dinner:
seasoned chicken with half serving of rice, full serving of veggies (mixed, peppers, carrots etc); drink water.

Salmon with the above sides.

Breakfast:
cereal is good, gives you quite a bit of the vitamins that your body requires.

Lunch:
Salad, sparse dressings, mixed greens incl spinach, mesculine (sp) and a little tuna on top.

Edit: I see you were asking more for dinner suggestions...

Dont completely eliminate carbs as your body needs the glycoproteins.
Its very important to keep your vitamin intake at optimal levels, ive seen people cut out veggies too, and all that results is they get sick.

I guess for dinner you are stuck with Steak, pork chops, chicken, and fish.

I thought steaks and pork chops were kinda bad. Or does it depend on what kind of steak is, for example would porterhouse and t-bones steaks be ok.

Well, bad food is only bad if you have it often. If you have it once a week or once every two weeks, you will be perfectly fine with your dieting. They give quite a bit of Iron and protein - both of which will help a lot when you are trying to gain muscle.

Also you could try throwing a bit of cardio into your workouts. Like swimming for 30-60 minutes every 2-3 days would probably help a ton.

Subway might be good, but nothing beats good ol' Taco Bell!

You lose weight because it either gives you the runs or nails you with a migraine, so you can't eat, anyway.

Yeah, there are people who probably shouldn't consume large amounts of soy daily. People with thyroid problems, for instance.
