Hello, I would like to build a new system but have been out of the loop for a bit. Thanks to Half Life 2 I want to upgrade to a ATI X800XT video card. Can someone suggest some good motherboards that would be perfect for this card?

A gaming box with an x800xt, hmmm, ideally would be paired with a motherboard for an amd athlon 64, socket 939 platform.

msi (nforce3 ultra) or abit av8 (kt800 pro) are nice boards, imo.

Gaming performance isn't very dependant upon MB performance, moreso on a) video card b) cpu c) ram. If you want an overall good overclocked system (which helps game performance) I would suggest ABIT. They make some of the best MB's available, and top of the line on oc'ing too. The IC7 (875 chipset) is one of the best for P4's.

MSI NEOS, they need quality parts and experienced builder to avoid most of the issues seen in the forums, once they are set they are set rigth they are speed demons and OC very well
