What are some good ways to convert pictures into words?

Is there a study or path of enlightenment to this goal that I am missing? How many of you think in pictures and have no problems putting them into words? I would like to know what techniques you use to do this. I just wish there was a way to communicate with the pictures in my mind directly. Seems much easier to be misinterpeted with words.

Try any OCR program. Most of them will scan pictures and convert them or will accept TIFs in 8 bit.
