I've been playing WoW for the past couple years. Kinda tired of it now. What are some fun games out there that doesn't require a subscription? Any genre is good to me. I'm playing War3 and CS:Source atm so those two are off the list.

I like Supreme Commander, however I can only recommend it if you want a large scale epic RTS game.
I tried Vanguard for a while after quitting WoW the last time, and I lost interest in just a week or two, so I wouldn't recommend it unless you still want to MMO.
I haven't tried Stalker yet, but it is on my list of games to eventually get.

I'm in the middle of my thirty-something-ith playthrough right now and am still realizing new things about Deus Ex. Up until now I had no idea that you could mark notes onto the images in your databank... lol, kind of trivial but they really did cram tons of detail in this game.
Why does this forum have such a hard on for that game? It sucks. So does Deus Ex, possibly the buggiest GOTY ever.

Yup, I didnt learn that until my 5th or 6th run.
Its very helpful when you are trying to remember which hull welds you have already detonated.

are you fscking kidding? deus ex is, bar none, the BEST single player FPS ever made. it has everything: action, story, dialogue, kickass weapons, kickass abilities, and non-linear, game-altering play. (quake1 wins multiplayer, IMO)

How? It used to be buggy but the 1112 patch pretty much fixed everything singleplayer related. Sure, the multiplayer still sucks but that was never part of the original game anyways.

i couldn't get into Deus Ex or Riddick.
