I am going to be installing my new motherboard in a few days and need some good tips on what to do.

Do I need to reformat my whole hard drive?

I have heard people talking about 'burning in',what is that? (like some places charge a small assembly and 'burn in' fee if you buy a combo)

Any other tips?

Thanks for any info.

The best thing to do is to format your harddrive after you install your new motherboard, otherwise it can give you many weird problems. I'm not saying that it can't work without a reinstall of windows, but I think it's best to do so.

Burn in; Use to apply to overclocked processors. It's something you can do to get a more stable overclock but noone really know if it make any different. For some it does and for other not.

My $ .02 make sure you put the HSF on with the motherboard out and on a flat surface . Made that mistake recently ! It wasn't pretty 🙂
